I work as a production chemist for Baker Hughes, which supplies chemicals to the oil industry. I’m responsible for sourcing, ordering and optimising the chemicals sent offshore to the rigs — there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution to the various tasks undertaken in oil fields.
