SUCCESSION

“WHEN IT COMES TO THE KIMERA EVO37, THESE GUYS HAD US AT HELLO”

Who knew that Singer would end up being quite so influential? It seems that lots of global HNWIs are willing to trade digital perfection for old-fashioned analogue interaction – and genuine personalisation. Rob Dickinson’s Hollywood reimagining of the Porsche 911 breathed ecstatic life into the new-age restomod trend, prompting the likes of Alfaholics’ GTA-R 290, Cyan Racing’s Volvo P1800, and Eugenio Amos’ Delta Integrale, while at least two Ferrari projects have somehow circumvented Maranello’s twitchy lawyers. They all scratch an itch you probably didn’t know you had, but when it comes to the Kimera EVO37 these guys definitely had us at hello.

Lancia, one great names, might be reduced to peddling the piddling little Ypsilon city car these days, but the force is still strong with the brand. Choose your era – Thirties Astura or Fifties Aurelia B24 are equally epic – but chances are you’ll wind up with a Stratos or its even cooler world rallying successor, the 037. This was the last rear-wheel-drive car to win the WRC and united Abarth, Dallara and Pininfarina to deliver the goods for Lancia against the might of Audi Sport’s formidable quattro. And now it is reborn.
