Reading your excellent article on the Piper Comanche in September-October 2021 mentioned under “Breaking Records” in 1964 Henry Ohye flew a Comanche 250 from LA to Tokyo, becoming the first single-engine crossing of the Pacific. Sorry to say, not so! The first ever single-engine crossing of the Pacific was by the American Ken Walker, who also flew a Comanche 250 from Oakland Airport in California to Brisbane, then south to Newcastle to deliver it to the Royal Newcastle Aero Club at Rutherford.
