When Richie Rivers left the military a few years ago, he was looking for something fulfilling to do with his life that also encompassed his air-cooled VW passion.

“I’d always been into cars, especially old VWs, and had previously set up Dorset Volksfest. I thought about doing shows initially, but eventually settled on starting up a mobile blasting company. It was a great start to civvie life, and enabled me to go all over and work on some really cool stuff,” he explains.

The thing with doing any kind of mobile job in the car trade, if you keep your ears and eyes open while travelling around you get to hear the word on the street first. That might be of other jobs, or cars and parts for sale. So, while keeping himself busy blasting other people’s classics,
