The spotlight this month is on a tin plate VW Bus manufactured by Japanese toy company Bandai. For many years, I have watched the prices of Japanese tin VW models of the 1950s and ’60s rise, and the products of the Bandai factory are no exception. Consequently, this VW Bus is not only desirable to VW model collectors, but also to collectors of Japanese tin cars in general, making it quite an expensive proposition today.
