MOORING
The buoys in St Mary’s harbour are on a ground chain grid and highly unlikely to shift. However, they are slightly outside the harbour and in a westerly wind will be very uncomfortable indeed. To put it another way, if the Earth was flat, those moorings would have a good view of America, with nothing in between.
