Final Edition’s foray into stardom

A SHOW pony from Gill Thompson and her team secured the 2021 Supreme Products supreme pony of the year title, on his debut at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS).

The pony in question was Kirsty Harrington’s immaculate eight-year-old 148cm Roseberry Final Edition (Eddie), who had reigned champion over the British Show Pony Society (BSPS) children’s riding pony field with 13-year-old Ellie Mae Harrington.

The Roseberry prefix needs no introduction and this pony’s victory was even more poignant for top producer Gill as her daughter, Charlotte, won the same show pony crown in 2007 with the then five-year-old 148cm Roseberry Highland Fling.

“We bought Eddie in May for next year so he’s far exceeded our expectations,” said Gill.
