Get away for... THE WEEKEND!

Counting fellow motorhomers kept me amused on the drive from Lincolnshire to Sussex. Playing games certainly helps when the M25 seems never-ending!

A Caravan and Motorhome Club certificated location (CL) south of Chichester was our home for our first two nights; the evening entertainment in this peaceful spot was the many rabbits hopping around and the bats, which arrived at dusk.

Bikes quickly unloaded, we took the back roads to the coast at Bracklesham Bay (three miles), enjoying the sound of waves breaking on the shingle beach before continuing northwest to West Wittering. The sunshine had created a holiday mood and many motorhomers in the car park above the vast beach were enjoying the British seaside.

The quintessentially English, pastel-painted beach huts at West Wittering are, apparently, some of the most expensive real estate in the area (pounds per square foot that is) and you can’t even spend the night in them. The café and beach bar were doing a roaring trade.
