Chris Pearson started his career as a business journalist but it wasn’t long before the New Zealand native and current Sydneysider decided to pursue his true passion, design. “Design draws on not just my passion for aesthetics but also the relationship people have with their homes — we shape and are shaped). It’s the debut interiors project for We are Duet, a brand-new practice helmed by designers Dominique Brammah and Shannon Shlom. “It was a pleasure to write about the first project of a new design team that’s definitely one to watch,” says Pearson. “They approach things in such a fresh way — nothing routine here. And no two projects are the same, so expect the unexpected.”
