GRUMMAN G-164 AG CAT

uilt with traditional stick-and-tissue construction techniques, my Grumman G-164 Ag Cat is a purpose-built crop-duster that’s easy to build and fly. Built primarily of balsa and light plywood, the Ag Cat is 1/12-scale and is modeled after the earlier Pratt & Whitney R-1340 radial-engine-powered version. It is a lightweight park flier that can be flown in smaller areas with scale-like performance. Power is provided by a Suppo 2212 or an E-flite Park 400 outrunner motor and a 4-channel radio system. If you want a little more power, the Suppo 2217 (950Kv) or E-flite 450 and a LiPo 2S 1800 to 2100mAh pack can also be used. To keep them light and strong, the fuselage and tail surfaces are typical stick frames. The wings are “egg-crate” style for quick and simple assembly.
