Fun With Stick And String

An article about picking up the traditional bow? That’s a little different. Any readers who have followed my column over the last couple of years would be well aware that I’ve been making life difficult by trying to hunt animals with a stick and string, but the flavour of my ramblings has always been about new interests, new challenges and nostalgia. I, like many others primarily hunt because I enjoy it, but the line between enjoyment and frustration has become a bit blurry of late. At the end of the day it’s been an interesting and rewarding experience and I thought I’d put some words together to talk about my journey thus far, in an attempt to inspire some of you to give it a go.
