Tell us about Scrunchie Munchies...
“I sell hand-made, custom scrunchies, face masks and “Hug in a Box” care packs to gift as random acts of kindness.”
How old is your business?
“I started Scrunchie Munchies in 2018. I was 11 years old and in Year five.”
How did you come up with the idea?
“I saw the cost of hair scrunchies in stores - most cost over ten dollars - and was astounded that few were locally made and not all that great quality. I initially thought setting up a scrunchie business would be a good way to make some money to pay for theatre tickets to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
What exactly do you do for Scrunchie Munchies?
“I’m in charge of making the product, marketing it, coming up with new ideas and working on the budget. My mum has been a big help when large orders come in and Dad helps with the accounts and money side of things. I make the scrunchies myself and I also built the website myself on WIX and started selling and collaborating with hairdressers, sports teams and I
