Top up your vitamin D
The ‘sunshine’ vitamin is essential for a healthy immune system and studies suggest it may help fight coronavirus. In a review by the Academy of Medical Sciences, it was found that low levels of vitamin D may contribute to susceptibility of COVID-19. An estimated 20% of us don’t get enough during the winter months, when the NHS recommends taking a 10 microgram supplement.
