FAVOURITE BEER: Monteith’s Black. Believe me, as you get older, you get a little more discerning with your tastes, beer included.
FAVOURITE PLACE TO DRINK A BEER: Any camp fire, anywhere, any time. There’s nothing like a warm beer around a warm camp fire.
BEST POST-RIDE BEER YOU EVER TASTED: That would have to be after a DSMRA grade four single-track ride off Wolgan Road out the back of Newnes a while ago. It was a grade four and I had to get guys like Clinton Jurd to ride my bike up some of the hills. I was just glad to get out alive. That beer never tasted so good.
MOST EXPENSIVE PLACE YOU’VE DRUNK A BEER: Birdsville or Mount Dare. But, honestly, you don’t care about the cost when you think of where you are at the time.
The DSMRA organises the Kowen Forest Ride every year, so I’ve been going there for ages. I think it was 2012 and to be honest, it wasn’t beer but rather Bundy Rum, which is my other passion. And I have no one to blame but myself
