You might have even listened to her podcast, , with the tongue-in-cheek name and high-profile guests such as Kim cover, but her turning point came when she appeared in lingerie and a trench coat for a Lane Bryant campaign. TV stations tried to ban the ad, but the media declared it a fat-shaming. Suddenly Ashley had a voice. And a conversation about how bodies are judged began, which she’s continued. She’s been told she needed to lose weight and admits to trying every diet known. But, “they don’t work – I’m a curvy woman,” she has said, noting that once she accepted herself, she became more confident and her career took off.
