    LAST TIME, WE learned about 6 8 and 128 meters, which are basically eighth-note triplets in 2 4 and 44, respectively. These are known as compound meters, for which the time following each main, or “strong,” beat — where you tap your foot — is divided into three equally spaced triplets that are counted
