ooking back, Carla and Leo say their passion for renovation began after the birth of their second child, more than 50 years ago. They bought a typical West-Frisian Dutch farmhouse and spent over two decades restoring it, and raised their three children there. It was a real labour of love, but after dedicating so many years to perfecting their family home, the couple’s next projects came in quick succession, as they set their sights on restoring two more farmhouses and a canal house.
