Major self-build review published

A review from Richard Bacon MP makes recommendations that could deliver up to 40,000 self-build homes a year. Mr Bacon, MP for South Norfolk and self-build advocate, was commissioned by Boris Johnson to review how to scale up the delivery of self- and custom-build homes.

The 114-page review makes six recommendations, including wider publicity for Right to Build registers, measures to promote green homes and modern methods of construction, an investigation into tax disparities between self and speculatively-build homes, and the formation of a Custom and Self Build Housing
