STABILISER MAINTENANCE

The poor old stabiliser (AKA corner steady) cops a lot of abuse partly because it is misunderstood and partly because it is situated in a vulnerable position under your caravan. Here we’ll show you some preventative maintenance on some stabilisers that are in good condition plus some corrective maintenance on some stabilisers that have been neglected.

DON’T OVERLOAD YOUR CORNER STEADIES

As the name stipulates, a stabiliser’s sole purpose in life is to stabilise the van. This is to prevent the van from rocking when parked and to prevent the van from tipping backwards when uncoupled from the tow vehicle.
