Toddington’s ‘Standard 4’ boiler in ‘very good order’

THE restoration of BR ‘4MT’ No. 76077 for service on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway has been boosted by positive indications on the condition of the boiler. As previously reported, the 2-6-0 has yet to run in preservation and is being restored from Barry condition. Since it was acquired by Toddington Standard Locomotive Limited (TSLL) in 2018, restoration work has progressed well.
