With their daughters Mia and Tiffany having grown up and left home, Theresa and Allan Widlake wanted to create a relaxing yet stylish space for just the two of them. ‘It was our first opportunity to reinvent ourselves after leaving behind the homes in which we’d raised our children,’ says Theresa. ‘We had children young, living in modest rented or company-owned housing, so I learned to make the best of what I had, re-using pieces and decorating on a budget.’
