HOW TO

1 ADD INTEREST WITH PANELLING

An ideal way to introduce an architectural feature to an otherwise plain room, panelling can provide additional insulation and even hide radiators.

• Choose the style of panelling that would most suit your space and decide whether you want to cover the whole wall or just part of it.

• Using a spirit level and pencil, draw out your panel pattern on the wall, so you know exactly where to attach each section.

• To achieve this Jacobean-style panelling, cut boards of MDF into 4in wide strips and attach to the wall in a grid, using strong adhesive.

• Add beading
