Born in 1992, Maxmin has been a community organizer for more than sixteen years, founding the LincolnAcademy Climate Action Club when she was in ninth grade and co-founding Divest Harvard while attending Harvard University. For her work with the Climate Action Club—particularly her focus on recycling batteries—Maxmin received the Gloria Barron Prize
