Stage racing’s ‘Big Three’ emerge

There’s little doubt that the three best grand tour stage racers in the world are Egan Bernal, Tadej Pogacar and Primož Roglic. Of the stage race specialists, they are highest on the UCI rankings-Poga car is listed as number one, with Roglic third and Bernal fifth. And to confirm their dominance, between them they won a sweep of the three grand tours in 2021. Bernal won the Giro, Pogacar the Tour and Roglic the Vuelta.
