Becky first found widespread recognition in 2014 on The Voice UK, but her musical journey began when she was 9, with a guitar for Christmas and lessons when she was ten. By 17 she was touring the local area with the folky pop songs she had written in her bedroom.
Talking of her influences back then, she, Ben Howard and Bon Iver, however it was Robyn that became the inspiration that drove her to where she is now. Robyn’s ability to write in many genres without being swayed by popularity was important to Becky. “This is what I love doing, if I loved it for what people expected of me, I don’t think I’d have done this for very long.”
