STARLING ROOST

£1,220 Bristol brand’s first hardtail flies the nest – and it’s a stunner!

Cycles are known for hand-welding bespoke full-suspension frames in-house, but for this special stainless steel hardtail, owner Joe McEwan has farmed the work out to ORA in Taiwan. The material is the same strength and stiffness as Reynolds 853 chromoly, but doesn’t rust and can be left raw with laser-etched graphics for a stunning finish. A unique seatstay yoke keeps the aesthetics similar to the brand’s full-sussers.
