The experience of driving a classic Mini is certainly quite unique and is, without doubt, one of the main reasons we all love these cars. Driving one without a roof is a different experience yet again and it’s something Ian Lloyd, the owner of this rare 1991 Lamm convertible, can’t get enough of.

Like many children living on a farm, Ian learnt to drive on a tractor in his early teens and as the years rolled by, most of his friends bought cars. “Interestingly none of them had Minis which was quite unusual back then,” Ian laughs. “It was only when my girlfriend’s uncle happened to be selling one that I first got to see one close up.” Aged 17, Ian now found himself the owner of a Mini and he had a feeling even then, this model
