Outrigger Canoe Club Fishing Tournament

n August 22, the Fishing and Boating Committee at the Outrigger Canoe Club (OCC) got together to host the 11th Annual Fishing Tournament. Members and their guests were able, Shimano, the Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR) and Okuma. This year, awards were held outdoors at the OCC snack bar. We were very fortunate to have amazing raffle items donated by , Shimano, Izuo Brothers, West Marine, Puakea Designs and Todd Bradley, so every angler walked away with something special. Puakea Designs donated a brand-new outrigger paddle; POP Fishing and Marine donated several $25 gift cards; Izuo Brothers came through with some reels and rod/reel combos; Shimano provided reels, tackle bags, lures, line and more. Izuo Brothers really came through for the Keiki Clinics this year again, donating tackle boxes equipped with hooks, line, sinkers and floats for every  that entered. I led the clinics with an “I Fish Pono” message from the DAR.
