Zooming in
One evening in a carefree, pre-pandemic time, I was sitting opposite my husband in a Sydney restaurant when he announced, “It’s only now I realise that I come from another planet.” I turned, and saw behind me the mirror in which he was reflected. The light glancing off his forehead emphasised its large size, setting it eerily, bulbously aglow.
