Totally, beach in

Summer is just around the corner, and it’s time to start warming up for a holiday at the coast. Keep away from the big beaches where there are too many people – not with the pandemic still raging. Instead, head for a quieter beach, the kind where you leave your car somewhere and walk through the dunes to a sheltered bay where only a handful of people hang out.

We’re thinking, for example, of those hidden beaches along the West Coast and those of the north coast you only reach with wooden boardwalks winding through dense bush. The problem – and the blessing – is that you must hike quite a distance to reach these remote beaches.
