NEW BEAUTY FOR ENGLAND

This summer, Natural England made an exciting announcement, proposing two brand-new Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) in the Yorkshire Wolds and Cheshire Sandstone Ridge, along with extensions to the existing Chilterns and Surrey Hills AONBs. In the world of conservation and tourism this is big news, not least because the last AONB to be notified was way back in 1995 – the Tamar Valley.
