OLLER canaries must sing. Dancing doesn’t count, and the judge listens to not just one, but four competing birds at a time. With a class of 60 birds, each group of four (each from a different owner) is listened to and scored over a period of 30 minutes. This calls for the ability, on the judge’s part, to concentrate for eight hours.
