Glorious gardens for autumn and winter

ONE OF life’s many pleasures when you have a little more time in retirement or semi-retirement is waking up to a crisp morning, checking the weather forecast and deciding on a spontaneous day out.

It could be a walk along a beach, or a visit to one of our great cathedrals or museums, or a garden.
