Hi-tech help for care home residents

Before the first brick has been laid in the construction of today’s care homes, decisions will have been made on the type of technology to be implemented to enhance the lives of residents.

Priesty Fields, a 78-bed purpose-built nursing care home in Cheshire which opened in August, is one of many new homes across the UK planning to use technology that improves standards of care and quality of life for both staff and residents.

There are an estimated 17,600 care homes in the UK.
