Winner with a superb catch of 40.15kg was Andrew Withey (pictured above with organiser Mark Cowell). This is the second time the Bridgend angler has won the event in recent years. He caught 14 smoothhounds and a conger eel.

Second place went to Dan Crump from Barry with 11 hounds for 34.50kg. Third was Neath’s Steve Tucker with 33.75kg consisting of nine smoothhounds, a dogfish and a conger eel.
