PICK A JOGGER

If you’re considering taking your baby along when you go for a run, you need a decent pram that is specifically made for the task. There’s a lot to consider to make sure you hit the sweet spot between speed, stability, safety, performance and manoeuvrability.

Joggers have a single, smaller front wheel for easy steering. You don’t want the jogger to veer off on uneven terrain.

For comfort, oversized air-filled tyres and suspension offer a smooth ride for the little passenger, who should be properly strapped in with a five-point harness. If punctures could be an issue where you run, you can fill the tubes with slime.

To make sure your run doesn’t turn into a heavy slog, choose a lightweight aluminium frame and aerodynamic design.

Even though your running speed will be slower than normal, you need an integrated twist hand break to help control the downhills and any quick stops.

A clear roof port is another great feature to look out for, as it allows you to keep an eye on
