Leaving a Record

What does it mean to be a Hong Kong designer? For industry stalwart Alan Chan, the answer can be traced back to his first job at an international advertising agency. The year was 1970, and Chan found himself absorbing creative influences from around the world. By the time he started his own design firm a decade later, he’d settled on a philosophy of his own: what he calls ‘Oriental passion, Western harmony’.
