Over the years, the natives of the Isle of Wight have embraced the scooter crowds, despite getting off to a shaky start in the early years – and well they should, as a previous conservative estimate reckons that the weekend adds £3 million to the island’s economy, as well as being a magnet for day trippers to also enjoy the event and spend their hard-earned cash.
