Use your noodle!

Beef and black pepper udon

There’s nothing like a bowl of thick, bouncy udon noodles served with peppery beef!

Serves 1

200g packet fresh udon noodles

1 tablespoon caster sugar
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
Squeeze lemon juice
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
2 garlic cloves, grated
100-150g rump steak
2-3 spring onions
1 large carrot
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine
1 radish, chopped
Sesame seeds to sprinkle

In a bowl, pour boiling water over udon noodles to soften. Don’t try to separate them
