Before I knew it, Phil and I were on our way to Surrey to collect our new Rover 600. This 1999 623GSi is not only top-of-the-range, but one of the very last, on a V-plate. It’s covered just 84,000 miles and the Charleston Green paintwork and grey leather are a tasteful combination. Sadly our COO’s busy life isn’t conducive to a project car, so another space on my road is occupied by this last bastion of the Rover/Honda partnership.
