It’s time to say goodbye to the bi villain.
ooking back to 2012, watching BBC’s Sherlock with my family was quite the event. We had the show on DVD boxsets (remember those?) and we would sit down in the living room on Friday evenings and watch an episode or two, if mum allowed, a night. It was the perfect PG-13 viewing for my parents, my younger brother, and my 15-year-old self. Until this one bisexual character decided to ruin it all. She was naked, strutting around with confidence I had never seen anyone exhibit before. Although having to share this sight with my family made my stomach churn, I couldn’t peel my eyes away from her. Later on, I would rewatch all her scenes on YouTube, studying her every move. There was something addictive about this woman, how she carried herself, and spoke to others. Yes, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock
