Well, events certainly seem to be opening up now, and cyclemotoring seems to have taken off in particular. No sooner had the Firefly been ridden to Jack's Cafe (see last month), than there was a run fairly locally organised by Mark and B44 Clive. Surely PUB was obliged to enter Clive's run, which she duly did.

The hard starting mentioned previously was tackled with a look at the carburettor (see later), and it was also noticed that the funny little silencer really wasn't silencing either. A look at that revealed a very large hole in the casing. A RealRepair was carried out with some sheet steel cut from a tin can (roughly the thickness of the original silencer), sealed into place with Gun Gum and wire (very useful stuff, wire).
