More than half a decade ago, we were first introduced to a new pistol hailing from a country few have even heard of, Slovenia. Out of this Eastern European nation, roughly the size of Massachusetts (with under a third of MA’s population), comes all manner of firearm designs, so it made sense when someone said Slovenia was, “like Yugoslavia without the problems of the ’90s, with some American gun culture baked in.”
That first gun was the P226-ish pistol from Arex Defense, the Rex Zero 1.
