few months back, I mentioned in this column an I Spy book from the late 1960s that I recently rediscovered. Since then, my ‘I Spy’ collection has increased significantly, thanks to an unexpected find in a Hastings second-hand shop. They had a huge box of I Spy books, clearly unsold shop stock, and dating from the early-mid 1960s, and at just £1 each it would have been rude not to buy one of each of the six titles
