Obituaries

ART DITMAR, a righthander who pitched in the major leagues for nine seasons, posted a 72-77, 3.98 career mark and won a World Series with the Yankees in 1958, died June 11. He was 92.

AL EISELE, a righthander who pitched in the minor leagues from 1959-62, died June 29 in Falls Church, Va. He was 85.

Eisele went on to found “The Hill,”
