bought this tankard in an antiques market off the A3 about 10 years ago. It was being sold by an elderly couple who had bought it at a house clearance sale and didn’t know anything about it. I could see it was a German stein and the lid is made of pewter. It is decorated with a depiction of Jesus and his apostles, and it has a lovely patina.
