Creating Connections

By the time you’re reading this, hopefully a sense of normality will have returned to our lives, and with it the joys and riches of life that we have been denied for so long. I hope you are able to make the most of it, along with the warmer weather! I draw so much energy from the warmth of the sun, blue skies and the vibrant colours of our summer garden. Speaking of colour, that’s what I’m going to be exploring today, it’s the happiest of topics!

“I draw so much energy from the warmth of the sun, blue skies and the vibrant colours of our summer garden.”

It’s fascinating how we’re drawn to different colours. If someone asks us what our favourite colour is, most people are pretty definitive. Sometimes we even associate certain colours with people. Maybe it’s a colour they wear a lot,)! I strongly dislike brown, but then I did have to wear a brown school uniform for five years as a teenager, so it’s not surprising. I may or may not be alone in this aversion! Colour can become such a big part of our identity. For brands, they often use colour as the basis for their advertising. Think Coca Cola red or Twitter blue for example. The association with colour is so strong and it can also evoke strong emotional reactions.
