It’s no wonder that the 19th century horror writer Bram Stoker was inspired to write Dracula on a trip to Whitby. In summer, holiday-makers flock to this pretty Yorkshire seaside town to swim in the sea and enjoy fish ‘n’ chips and donkey rides on the beach.
But as the nights draw in, and the tourists pack their bags and go home, the atmosphere changes. Suddenly Whitby, with its dramatic ruined abbey on a windswept clifftop and enough ghost stories to shake a stick at, becomes a much darker place…
