Was Adirondack Park Agency duped?

APA mandate is “ensure compliance with the laws the Agency administers.” Instead, APA did the exact opposite recently permitting the virtual destruction of a Category 1 Wetland—the highest designation for a wetland—on Lot 9, Deerwood, Upper Saranac Lake (USL). This precedent-setting decision will open floodgates to a wide range of ecological destruction.

In communications between the applicant and APA prior to the ruling, APA assured approval before the permit amendment request was submitted. Is this a case of preferential special interest treatment? Something is amiss here.

This strategic wetland is extremely valuable to maintain USL
