Remember how last year’s motto was the Japanese roller-coaster rule, “Please scream inside your heart”? Well, while I’m not convinced 2020 has actually ended, I recently stumbled on an updated version. At an Olympics press conference, Seiko Hashimoto – president of the Tokyo 2020 Games – outlined the new guidelines: “People can feel joy in their hearts, but they can’t be loud.”
